Our relationship with Levi’s® started with the design and build of simple showcase sites for their Made & Crafted® and Vintage Clothing brands. I led the projects, working with their team to learn about day-to-day internal management needs and consumer behavioral patterns. That information guided my design process, which would eventually turn into a swift build and launch within their tight two-month timelines.

After the success of those initial projects, the brand would continue to turn to us to lead in the design and development of experimental web experiences. One of my favorites was a digital manifestation of the 2014 Spring/Summer Lookbook for Made & Crafted®.

I would work closely with Levi’s® and the artists and designers behind WAX Magazine to create the experience. The end result was an immersive Tumblr that played into the edition's overarching theme of "Patience." Playing with concepts in theming and chronology, we were able to rethink traditional blog consumption by allowing fans to engage with content from front to back — much like you would in a more traditional book.

The end result would lend a sense of tactility to the experience, while also allowing for the use of a digital channel that an audience could be developed through. Levi’s® would continue to use this framework for future seasons.
